Westell 7500 not getting internet connection! : (

At some point or another every couple weeks, my DSL randomly decides that it doesn't want to connect to the internet. I haven't been able to maintain a solid connection over the past two days. I know that it's not a residential or weather related issue, because I have a neighbor who uses Verizon for their internet service and their connection is working just fine (it's how I'm able to access the internet now!) . I've spoken with Verizon about this issue multiple times, but nothing has been resolved. Is there anything that can be done? Kind of veering into a "need to cancel account and find a better internet provider" territory at this point. 😕

I'm using a Westell 7500, if that helps!

What are the lights doing when your connection drops? DSL light flashing green, or is it solid? Internet light out or Red, or is it Blinking or Solid green? What's the fix to get it back up?

The DSL light is blinking on and off, but the internet light has been steadily nonexistant.

Alrighty. Do you have Landline service active on the same line serving you with DSL service? Add or change anything with the phone jacks or devices recently?

Negative on both counts! That line is specifically used for the internet only & I haven't tampered with it at all. It worked briefly this afternoon, but after an hour the internet light cut out and I haven't been able to get it going again since.

It would help to see your modem stats at the NID and attached to the jack in your home. First go here http://192.168.1.1/htmlV/transtat.asp and copy then paste the stats in another post. Then physically move the modem close to NID (junction box when the line from the poll attaches to you home) plug it in and power it on, go to the aforementioned Http:..... and copy/paste the stats.
