What Should Be My Default Gateway on Network Extenders?

I have two models of MoCA network extenders (ECB7250 and Verizon branded ECB5240M) where I can access the Admin GUI page on the extenders.

My question to the community is what should be the "Default Gateway" for the network extender?

Should it be my G3100 address, 192.168.1.1?

Any help is appreciated.

For link devices, that is devices that do not route and subsequently do not care about IP addresses, there’s no need to define a default gateway.

if you really want to put a default gateway, it seems like your G3100 is the one and only gateway on your network. A gateway is defined as a network device that can reach other networks. If you don’t have a second connection to the Internet, G3100 is your sole gateway.
