When will Verizon offer a combo wireless router/modem that includes band N? Are they late to the game? Is there a reason not to offer the updated equipment?
The reason I believe Verizon is not providing anything with Wireless N or Gigabit to the DSL customers is due to the simple fact that Verizon has no DSL package that will exceed the limits of Wireless G or 100Mbps Full Duplex Ethernet. Wireless G can under most circumstances manage around 20Mbps down, 20Mbps up or 10Mbps/10Mbps up and down. That would be from what I've seen mentioned throughout this forum, but if Wireless N and Gigabit were offered, that would certainly be nice. For now you are always free to use your own equipment 🙂
