I have an Actiontec GT704-WG, the firmware is 3.20.1.0.5.0.8.6-GT704-WG
I'm trying to open ports for my xbox 360 so I can get my NAT to Open from Moderate (I have two 360's connected to this gateway/router/whatever), i once had it set then months later the rules I had set went away for some reason and I havent been able to fix it since. I think the big problem now is that while it recognizes my xbox 360 is connected to it
but when I go to Application-Level Gateway under Advanced Setup, my Xbox 360 doesn't show up. I thought it was unknownpc1 maybe but when I added ports to that it did nothing.
here is the first pic I posted
In the router:
#1 Stop forwarding the ports (if you are forwarding)
#2 Make sure that UPnP is on.
After reading up on UPnP it seems that it is an extreme security risks as UPnP has tons of security holes and while port forwarding also has a security risk it is nowhere near as risky as turning on UPnP.
Is there no way to get my xbox 360 to show up from being unknown to being recognized as a LAN device?
