ANY online game or online service from my Xbox lags, freezes, hiccups – sometimes with message about poor connection, other times showing a constant buffering screen. This is not peculiar to a sole game like Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War, Dynasty Warriors; but also affects services like Netflix, ESPN, Zune, Microsoft Video and others.
Details:
I have already tried dozens of Actiontec Router adjustments – Creating QoS rules, traffic shaping, DMZ, single cable with no other nodes on the network, UPNP settings, Port forwarding, Static IP, Dynamic IP, Static DNS, Dynamic DNS, CAT6 cabling, CAT5 cabling. The Xbox is ALWAYS hard-wired, less than 50ft.
In each setting instance, I can always get the Xbox to connect with OPEN NAT, however as soon as an online service starts I get the aforementioned description of issues.
This wasn't always the case, I used to never have problems at all, and with the 20/5 FIOS – there should be plenty of bandwidth available.
Other network devices and nodes work fine: PC, Wireless mobile devices, etc. (NOTE: I DO NOT use the embedded wireless within the Actiontec. I have a dedicated Wireless N Access Point.)
In researching this issue online I find that other Verizon FIOS customers have experienced similar issues, and they are always told its a problem with their Home networks because no one else on FIOS is experiencing these issues. I have also seen others say it was a problem with their physical Xbox. I personally have taken my Xbox and connected it to to another large internet providers network and network latency and issues were no longer present … even when hooking up multiple Xboxes on the same network.
My belief is that there are a select group of us who are having these issues, and I believe it is due to a routing issue outside of our home networks. This belief is also compelled by the fact that I used to have a strong connection with low latency to any online service (game or otherwise) and almost overnight I no longer received such service (Started sometime beginning of last year). I also believe its a routing issue because I use several online quality of service tests on various locations (different routes) and have received as low as 5/2 … a significant loss of advertised speeds. But on others I can get 25/4 .. which is slightly better than advertised. (Test Results Below)
Verizon, can you please take a look at this issue.

Here is a Verizon Test result, and I noticed something peculiar – the Ethernet WAN port (I believe that is the port its referring to, since my whole internal network is Cat6 and 100/full – and is verified by the Actiontec router) is only reading 10Mps; given that this Ethernet port is connected via fiber, shouldn't this be 100Mps?

The issue is a the Small/Tiny NAT table in the router.

I contacted Verizon Support and they determined it is a faulty router, they are replacing it and I requested the latest router revision.
This should resolve the small NAT issue as well.
Well I thought that was the solution, but apparently not. The new router is actually an Older Revision then what I had before. I called Verizon and was told I cannot request a specific revision and he would not test it becasue it was a new router and I should not be having problems with it. Needless to say, I'm still having same issues.
I now have:

You can remove that Accepted Solution. It's under the Options menu for that post.
I tried to remove Accepted Solution, but all options are greyed out, except Subscribe and Print.
EDIT: nevermind. As soon as I posted this all the options became available.
Do you use MOCA internet or Ethernet Internet (is the Coax WAN light lit on the router or is it the Ethernet WAN Light)?
