I am trying to salvage my purchased G1100. Have a new G3100, and am trying to use MoCa to setup backhaul for my APs for better wi-fi.

Can i use my older router for it? My G3100 is already connected to Coax as well (for fios Tv-one)

Thanks in advance

The G1100 is MoCa 2.0 not compatible with the 2.5 of the G3100.

Ah ok - thank you. I assumed it would just slow it down to the 2.0 standard, but still work.

They don't talk together at all.

Thanks Charlyc.

I posted another question separately, but would you think the following would work? Assuming i am on with Moca 2.0?

I am hoping to eliminate one of the three moca adapters in the figure, and use the G1100 to serve as an adapter as well as for Fios TV.

Thank you for taking the time to review and respond.image

I don't see why not.
