While I don't know what it is. I have an idea to check something..
Can you get there using a web based proxy server?
For example..
#1 Go to http://hidemyass.com/
#2 In the Free web proxy form, type in URL that you want to visit.
#3 Leave all of the settings alone there.
#4 Press Hide My **bleep**
It most likely, has to deal with the issue that is addressed in

nope the problem started monday. and i still cant connect but thanks anyway
I just started having the exact problem. I have 2 desktop and 1 laptop that access the internet thru a wireless connection. None of them can connect to craigslist which make me think its a network problem.

That is great to hear/read, but it really has to be solved without using a proxy server to access that site.
The site that you want to connect to:
a) is using a bogon filter list that is not updated
OR
b) Otherwise your IP Address that you are coming from (when not using a proxy) was used for abuse and the site has blocked your IP Address.
Contact them and resolve the issue with them.
How to get their contact details, for example use whois. For example http://network-tools.com/ offers that tool.
Good luck.
Verizon said it was a network problem. There are other websites that people in so cal can not connect to and they are working on it. It only took 3 calls and about 3 1/2 hours to get that info.
I don't know why this thread has been labeled Solved. I've been having issues
trying to connect to Craigslist for two weeks. It has nothing to do with the SOPA
and other censor issues. It just so happened that that issue arose around the same
time.
I was able to get to CL's help desk, and people there asked if I lived in So Cal and was
a Verizon member. THEY sent a link to come to the VZ forum regarding the issue with
the DNS server. THEY suggested I contact VZ via the Live Chat, which I did. That "Agent"
said it would be resolved in 24-48 hrs. That was a few days ago!! Yes, I read about
utilizing the hidemy site, but that still does not solve anything!!
I'm sorry you are having difficulty. An agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information or to help you resolve your issue.
