dsl and internet connection drops

Verizon has shown up at my house and attempted to fix my internet connection. The last time a technician arrived, he put a dedicated line to the modem and said the problem was solved. Now, my DSL keeps going off, and now my Internet light on the modem turns off, while the DSL light is still on. What can I do? Man Mad

What modem are you currently, and do you have a router attached to the modem if what you have is not a Modem/Router combo?
