I'm using an Actiontec router and dsl and my connection speed is terrible. I also have to toggle the router off/on very often just to reconnect. Any tips for me? Even using an ethernet line to connect my PC to the router does not improve things.
The next time your connection misbehaves, before rebooting your router, visit the http://192.168.1.1/ page (the modem's web management page) to see what speed the modem is synced at.
You can also go to Status > DSL in the ActionTec's web page to get your line statistics. This will tell us more about what you're seeing and whether it's a problem with your line.
