@mdizle wrote:ok. so our internet line went out and a verizon service person came to fix it and he also separated the phone from the dsl. now the problem that makes the internet slow down should be fixed, but now after i got a new router i cannot connect to the internet through my belkin router. i set the modem to bridge it instead of acting as a router, and the router says the connection is ok but if i try to connect to the internet through the router, i cant. i can only connect if i plug the modem into the computer directly and set it to pppoe. so what should i do?
The Belkin router must be setup for PPPoE. No idea of how to do that, the exact model of that Belkin would help.
well i got it to work now, i had to set the connection type to dynamic and set the router to be an access point only. now i can get on but im not sure if the slowing problem is fixed yet.
