I'm trying to change the channel on my router (a netgear wnr3500), it when I log into http://192.168.1.1/ it takes me to a verizon branded admin panel. There seems to be some missing options like the ability to change my channel #. I tried turing off the DSL modem in case they might both be natively set to http://192.168.1.1/, but it wouldn't load up the page. I'm not sure why my admin panel has verizon branding all over it, and what I assume is verizon software. I should be seeing Netgear style admin panel with all of the options to configue my modem.
Any thoughts?
Try 192.168.1.200
If you have your verizon and netgear conneected you need to unplug the verizon and turn it off and plug in directly to the netgear; refresh your browser and you should get the netgear panel. If still having problems let me know and you can email me your phone number and I can walk you through getting set up. I used to be level 3 supervisor for Verizon so I'm very familiar witth your issue. You might try turning off the netgear then restart your pc, once the pc is all the way back up then turn netgear on. Then log into the netgear (192.168.1.1) That should work though 🙂

#1 How are these two routers connected to each other:
a) The RJ-45 WAN / Internet / To Modem port of the Netgear is connected to the RJ-45 LAN port of the Westell ?
b) The RJ-45 WAN / Internet / To Modem port of the Netgear is connected to a RJ-45 LAN port of the Netgear and a RJ-45 LAN port of the Netgear is connected to the RJ-45 LAN port of the Westell ?
c) A RJ-45 LAN of the Netgear is connected to the RJ-45 LAN port of the Westell ?
#2 What is your OS and Version?
For example Windows 7.
Even i faced issue with 192.168.1.1 previously. May be 19216811.is not your Default Gateway IP Address. Once do check if have enter 192.168.1.1 correctly or not. Some times, You may have entered Wrong IP Address !!
