i need to connnect to my xbox 360 but there is something up with the MTU settings

everytime i test the connection it asks me to change my MTU settings. i have an actiontec:GT704WGB

i have issues hosting i get a message referring to NAT. i'm not familitary with the MTU settings. can you take a pic or elaborate? i've gone through the testing connection it gets to the internet and comes up with an error. it says it'll connect but it's not at the optimal connection.
