I am currently using Verizon Model DSL GT784WNV. Are there any 3rd party router/modems that would improve wireless connectivity? Any particular recommendations?
Mesh router's like Netgear Orbi and Google Wifi are pretty popular, but they can be pricey. If you just want to increase your wifi connection a cheap way would be to get a Wireless Access Point. Netgear(WAC104) has one on Amazon for $35.
