The support at fios has been more than useless. So this is my last ditch effort. Internet speeds at night slow down to 40/50 at night. Im hardwired into the router. I've already restarted my ONT twice. I have no idea why this is happening to me.

It's a bit easier to post URLs to the instructions as opposed to typing them out long hand.

Select a few websites and try doing a "stare & compare" between the times the Internet service is running at a full clip vs when it is as slow as molasses.

Does this happen consistently every night (including weekends) starting at roughly the same time and concluding at roughly the same time? 🤔

Yeah its completely fine during the mornings. It reaches 500/500 which is the maximum output of moca 2.0. then it just dies around 8 ish. Speeds aren't even the main issue. Ping spikes in games to well over 200-500 ms.

I have my doubts that the cause of the problem is with the ONT or the router. If it was, it would manifest itself at all hours of the day.
I'm suspecting that there is a congestion problem upstream beyond the path between your location and the Verizon Central Office.
I'm wondering if some traceroutes and ping tests would help to shed some light. 🤔

THANK YOU. i was telling that to the 3 different support agents and all they did was tune me out. I have no idea how to run traceroutes or ping tests. Could you instruct me how to? Speeds are now recovering, 200/400 ish. Its almost 12 for where I am.
Any ideas on how to proceed? i tried contacting them but they’ve been so useless.
