internet speed from the router to the computer

My router is showing 950down 890up but the computer is only showing 550down and 480up . any suggestions on getting the speed up to at least 750 up and down

The speeds you listed are what Verizon Fios is up to 940/880

the device speed tests will vary. Unless you have the most expensive system with the latest lan, ram and processor you won’t get much more.

if testing anything under WiFi expect half of the ethernet connected to the router speeds.

If you're using any Anti-virus software which isn't Windows Defender, disable the Web Scanning / URL Scanning feature of the software. This often slows down web traffic especially on less powerful computers.

Also, speed test using Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or the Speedtest.net app from the Windows Store. Google Chrome on download tests may be limited to the speed of your hard drive due to how Chrome handles session data.
