On the modem whih lights should be flashing and which lights should be steady? My power and dsl lights are steady but my internet ethernet1 and wireless lights are flashing do I have something connect wrong?
If Ethernet 1 is flashing and that's indicating only one device is directly connected to the modem, and Wireless is enabled those lights simply indicate there's some sort of data transfer taking place. This can happen if there is a device on either Wired or Wireless transferring data, or with the newer ActionTec/Westell gateways running the Verizon branded firmware, ARP traffic being used to generate the Network Map in the modem.
So short answer: Unless something seems broken (slow, not working well) it is normal.
Power light should always be solid. DSL light should be solid but can blink if the modem is searching for DSL signal or is training. Internet light can blink in tandem with network activity or whenever the modem sends/receives data.
