non secure connection logging into my router?

and once Im logged in the connection is not secure.. is this normal/safe? can someone get my password when logging in? that is what my browser says.

Logging in to your router like http://192.168.1.1 ?  Yes that is unsecure but normally not a problem if you are wired or using WPA2 for you wifi connection.  Note if you use https you may well get a message about the root certificate being unknown/untrusted.  Again you can ignore that. e.g. using firefox go advanced and add exception.  For edge click details and go to website(even though it says not recommended.

Your password is yours only. If you use a password that is crazy like AcBn1290345 and then the odds are no one is going to crack it. Do not use wep encryption it is not secure.
