In addition to other corrective steps noted in my last post, have also updated to latest Java with no change in issue

I am having this problem also.  It only happens if I click on Compose or Reply in Verizon Webmai.  As soon as I click on that I.E. freezes then tells me after a couple of minutes to Stop Running this Script?   If I click Yes it goes back to Compose and lets me compose an email, however, the word "False" is on the top of the composed section and can not be erased.  If I click No when asked to Stop Running this Script? the freeze goes on forever.

I have an anti-virus program which I run dutifully.  I also went into Tools, Advanced and made sure that Disable Scripts was checked and Notification of Scripts was unchecked.

This only happens on one of my computers.  The one that uses Vista.  It doesn't happen on my IPad, on my laptop, or on my XP computer.

Any ideas????

I get this a lot with fully updated java on my older/slower laptop and i used to get it on my old desktop (both xp, laptop is home, old desktop was pro).  it doesn't happen on my new desktop.  I suspect it's related to slow computer speed causing slowdowns in the data stream downloading.  I get it with both firefox and google chrome.

It happens more often when I've got a lot of tabs open, and thus more is thrashing into virtual memory (aka you're using your swap or page pool) which is much slower than RAM.  The easiest solution is to minimize other things using memory, don't keep a lot of 'clutter' like weather bugs or other things that run in the background.  If you click continue, often it will come back, thus proving that it was stalled rather than actually crashed.

You have stated my EXACT problem. Any help in layman's terms?

Pamela48  YOU have stated my exact problem. I hope somebody out there can help us. AND, I have a relatively new, hi-speed computer with nothing running in the background. It only happens on one of my two e-mail subaccounts.

I have not been able to find a solution.  I know that if I try to reply to an email I get the stop script message & tonight for the first time I went to compose & received the message.  I believe I clicked yes & the compose screen came up.  I am thinking about calling Verizon but don't have enough time right now to stay on hold for 1/2 to 45 minutes. I'll try tomorrow.

Hello,

To fix the issue, we have to reset IE to factory defaults. It only happens wtih IE browser.

To reset IE:

Click on Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> click on Restore.  This should  fix the issue (100%)
