router shows connections being made when no one is home

Hi Everyone. I was on vacation for a week and left the router turned on. When I arrived home I see there are several entries in the System Log listed under WAN_DHCP and showing DHCP WAN connections with  the same readings (IP, DNS ,GTW, Subnet) my computer shows when I make a connection. Is this anything to be concerned about or is this just some kind of automated thing the router might do while one is away? The connections only seem to last a minute or sometimes a few seconds. Maybe it was somebody unsucessfully trying to access the connection? Any help would be appreciated,

As long as it was on your WAN connection, there is nothing to worry about.

That's just your router renewing it's DHCP lease every two hours.

Nothing to worry about as mentioned above. If you also have Set Top Boxes, they too, may be accessing Internet content from time to time creating the entries you see in your router log. Nothing to worry about for as long as your router isn't showing foreign devices.
