slow download on my ps3

i have 480kbps on my ps3 and 1184kbps on my computer, how can i make my computers kbps to like a 2000 and my ps3 to a 1000 atleast because it is too slow ................. i have a gt704wgb modem router

If you could provide a speed test to us from the computer, that will give us a better idea of where you're at. 1184kbps is often a sync rate for a modem, not a supplied speed. after overhead.
