G3100 keeps dropping from 1000mps to 100 mps.

I reattached g1100 and everything works fine no dropped speeds. Do I have a bad g3100

Glad you have fixed the problem, but it does not make sense. IP concerns the network layer of the OSI model, while link speed concerns the data link layer of the OSI model. The higher network layer should not affect lower data link layer. If you know how to setup a syslog receiver, I would like you to check the syslog when the speed drops from 1000Mbps to 100Mbps.

You have a bad Ethernet cable.

Second gs0b. Most likely a bad Ethernet cable in the mix. Could be a bad NIC or port too, but less likely.

Fixed not bad cable problem with ipv6. Turned off ipv6 and speed is fine no drops
