upgrade to 300/300 moca adapters not working

I recently upgraded to the 300/300 service from 100/100 and the moca adapter I was using to connect a second router as an access point no longer works. I was using an ASUS RT-N66U in access point mode prior to the change. I've tried an actiontec ecb2500c a verizon ecb2500v and now a motorola mm1000. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
