how can i remove old or unwanted leeches that are on my wifi nertwork?

If they are inactive, it doesn't matter.

You can try to reboot router and that should clear any old connections off.

Ia ssume they are connections you knew about but are no longer needed?

If not, then I would suggest you change you wifi password in case it has been compromised.
