The other day my wifi went down.  When I logged back on there was a new address the ended with 5Q.  I was able to log on to the new Fios with my same password, but only with my laptop and phone.  My Kindle and my son's iPhone can't find the new SSID.  Is it a software issue with older electronics?

Log in to your router to verify that the SSID is from your router and not another.

If it is from your router, chnage SSID back and maybe try changing password as well.
