i can not get connected to the internet at the farthest room from the router is it possible to install a second router in that location.

If you want to venture into some programming, you can take an old Cisco router and turn it into a repeater.  I have done this on three occations to extend the range of the Verizon/ Westell modem-router.  Do a search on dd-wrt and see if you are up to it.  There are some very good instructions on the process and you can pick up a used router on ebay for about $20.

The downside is if it is done wrong you end up with a $20 brick. 

Just go through the instructions on the dd-wrt site and you should be fine.
