xbox doesnt appear in my network and xbox live only works with minimum firewall security

xbox live connects fine and is wired to westell 7500 with ethernet cable so why is it not showing up in "my network" when its turned on.

even though all xbox live ports are forwarded i can not get xbox live to work unless i select minimum security in firewall, why is this
