Our Fios 20/5 internet and PS3 wired connection has been working fine for the past 8 months until now.
Issues: Online gaming has become very unstable for the past week. When we play games like Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet online with friends and family, every other game (sometimes back to back) we would get knocked off the Playstation Network while our they had no issues. Sometimes chatting with them using the PS bluetooth has become very garbled while they hear each other fine. Not sure if this is related but during this time while using the internet we more frequently get "Cannot Find Server". We would have to hit refresh 1-2 times before the page loaded up. This rarely ever happend.
Have tried so far: Power down all network devices as stated by the Playstation website. Reseated cables and tried new cable between PS3 and modem. Not being very tech savvy and not wanting to fool around too much with the modem settings I checked to see if the PS3 was visible, yes; and I did the ping test, successful. I even checked to see if there were any scratches on the game discs and they were free from scratches and smudges.
Equipment: Actiontec wired: PS3, Bluray, Laptop, Linksys Wireless N Router which connects upstairs computer two Nintendo Dsi's. Wireless: Wii.
Before I call Verizon and Sony I would like to try everything that I can with your help. Thank you in advance for your much appreciated help. Lucas.
