Can FiOS G1100 router be use in true "Bridge" mode, when using Coax on WAN?

Is it possible to have the FiOS G1100 gateway router put into true bridged passthrough mode, for customers that want to use their own firewall appliance for securing their LAN, particularly if using the coax interface on the G1100 for the WAN connection?

I've seen numerous articles about very convoluted methods of how to 'work around' the coax WAN connection issue, but I've used a half dozen other carriers from Comcast, to Google Fiber, and at all of them the provider modem/router had a way to simply be configured to be a pure pass-through device and I'm not seeing that as a true option with the G1100 Gateway when using the coax interface to connect to the Verizon main point of entry point box.

There isn’t really a true bridge mode in the G1100. You could have Verizon switch to ethernet and plug ONT directly to firewall.
