FiOS is slower than 2006

I've had FiOS internet since May 2006, and it seems way slower now than then.

A friend in Japan has internet that is twice as fast and twice less expensive.

What gives, Verizon?

What speed service do you have?

Yes a lot of other countries have faster broadband for less.

But Verizon is comparable in their offerings to other mainstream providers.

I find my service to be way faster than anything offered 10 years ago.

I've got FiOS internet 75/75 with a Quantum router, and an ethernet connection from the router to my desktop, a Lenovo running Windows 10.

Try the above link. If your speed is slower like you think call 1-800-VERIZON and have them troubleshoot the situation. You could have a faulty router or your provisioning could be set incorrectly or it could be an ont problem of which the Verizon people are best to fix it.

oh when you do this Speedtest it's better if you connect directly through an RJ-45 Ethernet from computer to router.

the test will function over wifi but it may show lower speeds.
