Today is my Fios Network extender day. I plug extender into my pc via ethernet cable.
I did notice that the wireless 5 green light is not blinking. 2.4 is OK
My intend is to purchase a fios extender to replace a wireless repeater ( non verizon branded) This repeater has 2.4 and 5. Just curious why the network extender does not see 5 bandwidth
Could it be the coax cable from the wall to the unit ?
Thanks
I cannot say for sure but I have the Netgear R6300 repeater and it was easy set up with my Netgear Nighthawk Router. Brand-Brand could be why both bands on mine work.
would make no sense to not show both 2.4 & 5 on the repeater. I don't use coaxial so I cannot say if that is the root cause.
My WCBN3000N has both 2.4 and 5 green fed from coax .
When "traffic" detected light blinks green...mostly on 2.4..guess that's where most traffic occurring.
