I have a Westell 7500 with DSL, recently, the internet keeps going down, the PPP keeps getting disconnected, and when it reconnects, the speed is below 500kbps/443kbps which is not what I am paying for, nor what it should be usually it is over 1500. I have reset the modem, restarted it, but it still goes to under 500, and it only stays connected for an hour or so, sometimes less, then it disconnects again, and says PPP down, DSL Link down.

Can you log into the modem for us, and get a copy of your modem statistics? This should be at http://192.168.1.1/ by selecting System Monitor, Advanced Monitors, and then Transceiver Statistics.
The default username and password for the modems should be admin/password or admin/admin
