I'm planning to purchase a Quantum router on Amazon to replace my current verizon owned router (older one, not a Quantum). Does anyone know what the self-installation process is for this?
Is it a Verizon router? Make sure it is not a Frontier as firmware is different.
To try it out, log in to old router.
Release ip on wan port.
Disconnect old router.
Connect new router.
Log in to it to see if it gets IP address on wan port.
Worst case is you might have to wait 2 hours for old IP to release and new one to connect.
