Internet Speed is below as expected. 1GBps plan and only seeing 100 to 500Mbps

I got a 1Gbps plan installed two weeks ago.

I check the speed from Verizon to router it is ~900Mbps

but from Verizon to my device it is playing around 100Mbps to 500Mbps.

I am using my laptop directly connected to the Fios router.

A technician went by and told me as long as the streaming/connection is not disrupted or disconnected it is fine.

I am thinking I should have at least ~900Mbps in my laptop as I connected wired to the router.

Do any of you have this issue?

Is your laptop capable of receiving 1000Mbps wired? Does your computer has QoS turned on or other speed throttling softwares?
