Which version of Windows are you running? Which version of Internet Explorer? Does the problem occur all the time, or just sometimes? Does it always happen when you do something specific, or does it happen randomly? Are there any software items you have installed recently that might have precipitated this problem?
#1 I used Google to look up your issue, and came across..

#2 Please post if you need help, following any of those directions..
Internet explorer stops working several times a day, just random.
says there is an error with Verizon and to close the program.
How can I fix this??
I am using windows 7, and have not installed anything new
The best thing to do for Internet Explorer:
1: Remove any excessive add-ons for the browser, such as Coupon Printers, Toolbars, Java, etc that you do not use. You may use the default/stock plug-ins without issue from Microsoft.
2: Lately Adobe Flash has been causing issues. Remove Flash from the system and then re-install it from Adobe's website, http://adobe.com/ (AVOID INSTALLING THE TOOLBAR).
3: Clear the Browser cache and limit it to 8-20MB. This can be done from the Internet Options in the Control Panel.
