Hello,
I signed up for Verizon high-speed internet because they do not have FIOS in my area. However, I am now questioning the decision. My plan is to use the internet for streaming, but I did not realize that the internet they are going to provide is only 3 mbps. From what I read for what's required of the streaming sites, it doesn't sound like enough...but does anyone else stream with the high-speed internet? Is it problematic?
Thanks in advance.
3Mbps would be able to handle content somewhere between 480p and 720p so long as it's consistent and there isn't anything else using the connection. However, definitely don't expect it to do miracles.
Most sites expect 7Mbps or better for 1080p.
