If anyone in verizon would like to correct me but if I want new customer pricing as an existing customer I leave fios for a month and come back.
Seems like a silly way to inflate new customer numbers.
Incredibly inflexible and I don't buy it that all cable companies do the same because that has not been my experience at all.

All services do the game via price increases after 1-2 years service. It’s a fact.
if you want a lower rate you have no recourse but to call customer service and see if they will bargain. They Verizon & cable are betting you won’t move away from them because of the switch. However hundreds of thousands of customers from all services do just that. So think about it. Is it easy to switch? Should you switch for a price increase? A lot to think about.
