Router E-Mail Notifications

This is a similar question that was asked earlier by another member.

However, I am getting an error message:

IP address may not be 0.0.0.0. IP address must consist of 4 fields.
Each field's value must be between 0 and 255, without any spaces.
At least one of the values must be greater than 0.

I am attempting to send notifications to xxx@gmail.comThe IP address in the configuration screen is set to 0.0.0.0.

I haven't a clue what this address should be.

I have set the port to 465.

Anything else that might speed this along will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

PS The router is Actiontec MI424WR very new and updated.

While I am not sure, I can take educated guess(es).

#1 If you have been assigned a Static Public IP, be sure to enter in the all of the correct info that were given.

b) Which be an IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and at least one (* typically two) DNS Server(s).

#2 If you have been assigned a Static Public IP, be sure to set the router to either use PPPoE with the correct user name and password

b) OR Set the router to use DHCP.
