Verizon Refusing to Remove Dangerous Collapsed Pole and Loose Wires
LHD1
Newbie

In my backyard is a Verizon pole. It has totally collapsed onto the tree next to it. Both steel support cables have snapped out of the ground and are loose. From the pole come about 100 wires, maybe 80 of which are wrapped in vines, with dozens of exposed wires hanging loose in my fence.

I have a voltage meter that I took out there today, and it says there is electricity in a lot of them. I am very afraid of electric shock, further collapse, a storm, etc.

Calling Verizon leads nowhere and requires at least 45 minutes on hold every time. NYC 311 won't send anyone from the city out, either.

Anyone with advice is welcome...
