Wifi stuttering

When I'm in game, I get stutters every couple of seconds. This isn't the games fault, since this happens to every single game I play. Also, my wifi will often display as having no internet on my laptop, even though my phone and other devices work perfectly fine. This has been going on for some time now, and I have worked with tech support from the games I play, but they haven't been able to find a fix. What can I do to solve this problem?

Which router are you using? Also, are you connecting to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz Wi-Fi?
