new modem

Just got a new modem, even though the old one worked fine.  When I go to a website (any) I get a message that I'm not connected to a network, then after about 10 seconds, all works well. What's up?

Best way to solve this issue is to either do a complete reset of the router. (Verizon does not use modems) via hitting that little reset button on the router.

And not knowing what router you are using I would go into the routers settings and do a DHCP release and then a renew and see if that fixes the issues.
