I had been using 1010-565 long distance service for calling internationally until recently. For some reason it now seems to be blocked by Verizon as the message indicates that my long distance provider cannot complete the call. Does anyone know what has happened to prevent this inexpensive international service from working with my Verizon land line?

I've also been using 1010-565 but my last call in March was billed direct by Verizon who told me that this can happen when 1010 services go out of business.. I called the 1010-565 support and their phone number is no longer in service. So why wasn't my call blocked by Verizon? Or why didn't I get an error message when I used the 1010 number if it was no longer working? Instead, my call went right through and now Verizon is telling me I have to pay full rate for a direct (over $3/minute). This is a bad practice and not fair to consumers!

I found a website, maybe e-mail them to see what's going on, if this is what you are talking about. Mary
