I am in first month with Digital Voice and my *86 gives me a message 'you have cancelled all your request to call someone back' and then says Goodbye!
I have been on chat with rep twice and no one can solve this problem.
I don't know where to go next. Guess I will ahve to find a number to talk to a live person./
Anyone here have any ideas on how to break this hangup.
Here is solution in case someone else has the problem.
Turns out I did not get Digital Voice, contrary to what the sales person and installer led me to believe. I have something lesser called Freedom Essentails and *86 does not work with Freedom Essentials.
This is not a problem as I am happier to just go with my old answering machine inside the kitchen door. When we come in door we can see if we have a message light and with one button listen. So don't need to dial 10 digits and code and wade through the Verizon mail box. Also don't have to dial 10 digits for local calls.
Interesting that the billing person told me Digital Voice is not available for my address. I am in metro area and have FIOS internet with good speed.
