This happened before and it's starting again. When I call certain numbers, even if we've called them before, it says I need an access code to make the call. It does not happen every time. I cannot call Verizon for service because there is NO option with the computer "help" line for this issue, and I can't even put my number in to have Verizon call me because it's "currently unavailable." Very, very frustrated by now. It's been happening for some time and getting worse.
So, after an hour on the phone where I finally got a person, the wrong person who sent me to the wrong person and finally to the right person, it turns out that when we turned off the international plan, whoever did it also flipped the button to turn off our regional plan so we could not make any calls in the regional area, but we could in the local area. Just something to check for others having this issue.
