Beeping Noise While Talking (Digital Voice)

Ever since being forced from copper to fiber for phone, I get incredibly loud burst of noise periodically when using the phone. The burst lasts about a second and interrupts conversation in both directions, and both parties get hit with it.

There was another thread showing a number people having the identical issue going back as far as 2010 and a discussion about it, but no remedy shared.  It is obviously still impacting customers today.

It would be great if one of the other users could share their fix for this, it is really annoying.
