I have been getting messages on my home phone for the last 3 days from {edited for privacy} telling me I have a final bill for discontinued service. I have called Verizon 4 times to discuss this issue. I was told, you are up to date, ignore the calls. I was also told that the number is not a Verizon number by 2 agents, and 2 agents told me it is a legitimate number used to collect delinquent accounts but I didn't have to worry since my account is current. I was told on my last call to Verizon, just block the number. Does anyone know if this is a phishing scam? I do not want to end up in collections in error. I have been with Verizon for over 28 years, all of my bills are ALWAYS paid ontime. If anyone is having the same issue, please advise!
Seems most say it’s legitimate.
it is an automated pay your bill call. Although it should not be happening I would contact support and tell them to knock it off.
