I was shocked/disappointed to find out that Verizon charges $12.99 for "variable call forwarding", which allows you to send calls to another number (cell phone, etc)!! Regular call forwarding sends calls to voicemail ONLY! WOW

Do you have a copper landline? I have FiOS with FiOS Digital Voice and there is no extra charge. Just hit *72 to activate and *73 to deactivate.
