Recently ended up on crutches and tried to change the number of rings before vmail picks up - used to have an option 9 (vmail settings) on the main menu, but now only have option 1 (listen to messages) and option 3 (personal settings - greeting, etc). I called technical support and after the usual mind-numbing frustration finally talked to a real person only to be told that the business office would "help" me. The business office was able to reset the # of rings, but had no idea why I couldn't get to the vmail settings option. Also told me that technical support couldn't help either. Unable to get any idea who could help fix this. Does anyone have any idea who to contact to get back my option 9? Per the web, it SHOULD be there.
THX! - jingles
try this, press 58# and listen for studder dial tone, then enter the number of rings 2-9.
if it doesn't work, then you may have to call verizon and ask them to set you up with customer controlled ringing.
I tried that and and allI got was If you want to make acall please hang up and dial.
If you are able to write to this forum you should be able to go to the online account settings? This is where I find it:
My Services -- Home Phone -- Voice Mail -- Voice Mail Settings -- Telephone Settings:
"How many times do you want your phone to ring before forwarding to Voicemail? "
