When I switched from the old copper phone line to digital FIOS, certain telephone exhanges lost the ability to call me on my landline. For example - people calling from (212) 242-XXXX and (212) 206-XXXX get a "number is not in service" message when they call me. Up until the switch there was no issue. It's ANY number on the whole exchange - which is bizarre.
I tried turning off all the call blocking and rejecting features but still no luck. Right now I have friends and family on those exchanges call my cell phone - but it's pretty annoying. i tried customer service and they say everything is functioning normally - but, naturally, on my side the problem still persists!
Has anyone else experienced this or does someone out there know what to do?
