I got FiOS last May, the number was ported over from Time Warner, but the name was under my father-in-law's name. They ported the number over, and they asked if I would like to keep his name for the listing, I said yes, as he has been living there for 30 years and has had the number forever.
However, all directory listings show my name, which is the name on the account.
Now, how would I change this, and if at all possible, I REALLY REALLY do not want to speak to customer service about this. They're attrocious.
