On the voice mail Personal Profile/Greetings menu what is option 5 (Caller Invitation)? I cannot find a description of it anywhere.
I'd also like to know what this is.
Yes, inquiring minds want to know, "what is 'caller invitation'"?
Smarter than the average bear, I turned it on to see what would happen.
When a caller is leaving a message, they get a menu that invites them to push "#" when done, and push "4" to tag it as urgent, and I think "1" to tag it as private.
The tagging urgent is what I am interested in. I set up the Digital Voice interface to email me when an urgent message comes in, and in my greeting, I tell callers to tag it as urgent if they want me to see it.
Obviously, the robo-callers won't tag things as urgent, and likely telemarketers won't either.
So, I hope this reduces my phone aggrevation.
And now, you know the rest of the story.
